The Welcoming of New CLC National CommunitiesAfter the address of Fr. General Arturo Sosa SJ, we welcomed CLC visitors from a variety of communities (Spain, France, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay) and the local San Miguel parish community who arrived to participate in the Open Day with our delegates. The Assembly experienced a very special moment: the incorporation of three new CLC national communities. The newly incorporated communities were: Lithuania (sponsored by England and Wales), Mauritius Island (sponsored by France) and Vietnam (sponsored by the United States).
Latvia has 6 communities with a total of 58 members.
Mauritius Island has 15 communities and 86 members. Their places of mission are: social, parish and youth ministries.
Vietnam started its CLC national community in 1998. There are 16 communities and 185 members. Their places of mission are: working with ethnic minority groups, the elderly, orphans, leading prayer groups among immigrant workers, soup kitchens, and the “Leading as Jesus” program.
The World Ecclesial Assistant was part of the blessing of three CLC communities being incorporated into the world apostolic body.
Welcome to our World CLC! Let us prayer for each other.
